Carrie Beam

Carrie V. Beam, 95, of West Reading, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 4:26 pm in her residence.  She was the wife of the late Franklin J. Beam (Red) who passed away August 19, 2002.  Born in Walnuttown, Berks County, Mrs. Beam was the daughter of the late Samuel and Florence (Eck) Breidegam.  She was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church and was employed by Bechtel, Lutz & Jost in Reading in the retail department.  Carrie also babysat for several families over the years. Mrs. Beam is survived by her children Gregory S. Beam, husband of Angela M. Beam with whom she last resided; Susan D. Beam with whom she last resided; Nancy K. Gresh, wife of Terry L. Gresh of Myerstown. “Mom Mom” was very proud of her grandchildren Michelle Eisenhut, wife of Kevin Eisenhut; Ana Beam; Jessica Brazier, wife of Wade Brazier; Adrienne Howard, wife of Eric Howard; as well as her great grandchildren Reese Eisenhut; Siena and Kara Brazier.  She was preceded in death by her siblings Charles, George, Ray, John, Russell, Francis, Helen, Grace, Alma, Pearl, June, Harold.  The family of Mrs. Beam would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Tower Health Hospice at Home for the care they extended to their mother, especially Rochelle, Mari, Heather Allison, Meghan and Robin.

Funeral Service will be held at Bean Funeral Home, 129 East Lancaster Ave. Shillington, Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 10:00 am.  Reverend Katie Lyons will officiate.  Interment will follow at Charles Evans Cemetery.  The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home Tuesday from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.  Online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com
