The world lost a beloved wife and mother, Carole (Hunter) Raub, on October 17, 2021. After a long battle with dementia, Carole peacefully passed away while surrounded by her loved ones at home. Carole was born in Newton, NJ on January 23, 1945. She resided in Kingsley, PA for over 50 years before moving to Reading, PA in early 2016.
She’ll always be remembered for being spontaneous and fun at heart. In her free time, she could be found sewing, painting ceramics, and making delicious cream puffs for her family and friends to enjoy. Most of all, she didn’t waste a single second while enjoying time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, often getting right down on the floor to play with them or give them rides on her back while she crawled around on the floor.
Carole is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Louis, son Lee, daughters Carrie (William) Reynolds and Jessica (Barrett Slater), 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, sister Beverly Tiffany who she often regarded as her mother, and brothers William and David.
Carole was a 1963 graduate of Blue Ridge High School. She worked as a machine operator at Southern Tier Plastics for many years of her career and worked a short time at Cinram Manufacturing before her retirement.
She was reunited in heaven with both her parents, her twin brother Carl, her daughter Lori, and her granddaughter Pacie Slater.
Friends and family are invited to say a final goodbye to Carole at a graveside service held at Maplewood Cemetery in Kingsley, PA on Monday, October 25th at 10am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to Louis Raub at 4 Cathy Ann Dr, Reading, PA 19606 to help with end of life expenses and medical bills. Online condolences may be made to www.beanfuneralhomes.com.
