Carol D. Wilson, 77, a longtime resident of Wyomissing Hills, passed away on November 24, 2017 at the Keystone Villa in Douglasville after a lengthy illness. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late F. Ferrer Wilson and Dora (Seyfert) Wilson. She was a proud graduate of Mount Penn High School and Albright College, where she surprisingly played field hockey and was a sister in the Phi Beta Mu sorority. Following college, she worked as a librarian, advertising artist, and later as a pre-school teacher at RACC.
Carol was sadly predeceased by a son, Brian Wilson, who passed in 2015. Together, they were very active in the Vision Resource Center of Berks County, enjoyed NASCAR and vacationing in Ocean City. She will be missed by her son, Dr. Eric Wilson, husband of April Wilson of Coopersburg, PA, as well as three grandchildren: Gabrielle of Boston, Zachary, and Benjamin. Carol is also survived by a brother, John Wilson, and his wife, Jean, of North Carolina, and their three sons and families. She leaves behind caring neighbors and many lifelong friends.
