Carol Rannels

March 9, 1948 — September 25, 2017

Carol Ann Rannels, 69, of Brecknock Twp., passed away on September 25, 2017 at her residence.
Born in Bucks County, she was the daughter of the late Nelson and Ann (Umstead) Watton.
Carol was a graduate of Millersville University, and went on to serve as a substitute teacher for Garden Spot and Wilson School Districts. She was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Adamstown, where she taught adult bible study, served on church council for many years, and created the Outgrown Exchange. Carol will be remembered for volunteering at the Adamstown Library and for the Berks County Prison Society Christmas Angels.
Survivors include her son: John B. Rannels of Wyomissing, a sister: Nancy Watton, and a brother: Nelson Watton.
Funeral Services will be held at Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave., Sinking Spring, on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 11:00AM. The family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 6-8:00PM and on Wednesday from 10-11:00AM. The interment will follow the service at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Adamstown Library, 3000 North Reading Road, Adamstown, PA 19501.
