Bruce Slaski

Bruce E. Slaski, 73, of Wyomissing, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 8:11 pm in Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Cynthia M. (Dragon) Slaski. Born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, Mr. Slaski was the son of the late Edward and Violet (Ziemba) Slaski. He was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in South Amboy, New Jersey and received a bachelor's degree in engineering from Steven Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey and was a member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. He was a member of Saint Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church and was a construction engineer at Gilbert Associates from 1977 until his retirement. Mr. Slaski was an avid fan of the opera, classical music and jazz. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters Lynn M. Heck of West Reading and Leigh Anne Slaski, wife of John B. Scherrer of Wyomissing. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews along with his loving canine companion Bella. Mr. Slaski was preceded in death by his brother Kenneth Slaski.
Funeral Procession will depart Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 10:15 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church 2810 Saint Alban's Drive, Sinking Spring, PA 19608 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Sinking Spring Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home Tuesday, December 13, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 pm and Wednesday from 9:30-10:15 am. Contributions may be made to Saint Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church Memorial Fund at the above address in memory of Mr. Bruce E. Slaski.
