Bonnie Maurer

Bonnie M. Maurer, 76, of Mohnton, has gone to Heaven Monday, January 29, 2018 at 3:33 pm in her home. She was the wife of Ronald R. Maurer. Born in West Reading, Mrs. Maurer was the daughter of the late Nathaniel F. and Marie H. (Remp) Young. She was a 1959 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School and was a member of Seyfert Wesleyan Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher for over 40 years. Mrs. Maurer was a tax collector in the Berks County Treasurer's Office in Reading for 26 years retiring in 2010. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children Scott R. Maurer, husband of Christine Maurer of Wyomissing and Lisa J. Edwards, wife of Heath Edwards of Temple and her grandchildren Kelsey Maurer; Stephen Bewley, husband of Pui Bewley; Steven Szabo and Caitlyn Szabo. Mrs. Maurer is also survived by her siblings Lorrin Young, husband of Carol Young of Mohnton and Randolf Young, husband of Jennifer Young of Mohnton.
Funeral Service will be held in Seyfert Wesleyan Church, 3970 Main Street, Birdsboro, PA 19508, Saturday, February 3,2018 at 1:00 pm. Reverend Dr. Harry F. Wood will officiate. Interment will follow in Mohnsville Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends in Seyfert Wesleyan Church Saturday, 12:00-1:00 pm.
