Blanche Rothenberger

Blanche M. Rothenberger, 91, of Alsace Township, passed away peacefully, October 11, 2009 at 4:44 pm in her residence. She was the wife of the late Raymond L. Rothenberger who passed away in 2005. Born in Strausstown, she was the daughter of the late John and Minnie(Livers) Kantner. She was a machine operator for Rosedale Knitting Mills for 24 years, then was employed as a tester for Western Electric for 24 years, retiring in 1980. Mrs. Rothenberger is survived by her nieces, Joan, wife of Harold Reich of Mt. Penn, Estelle, wife of Ralph Fehr II of Wyomissing. She is also survived by her nephews Richard, husband of Edith Rothermel of Fredericksburg, VA and Arthur, husband of Joan Hill of Oley. She is also survived by Kristy L. Hummel who she considered her granddaughter along with her sons, Gaberiel S. Koumaras and Gavin M. Hummel who she considered her great grandsons. She is also survived by her neighbors, caring and dedicated guardian angels Loraine and Ted Lash as well as her loving dog Waffles. She was preceded in death by her brothers Allen and John W. Kantner, sisters, Kathryn Johnson and Margaret Kantner and her foster parents John and Deborah Rothermel.
