Beverly A. Stump, 81, of Alsace Township, passed away Friday, April 9, 2021 at 3:38 pm at Penn State Health-St. Joseph Hospital. She was the wife of the late George H. Stump who passed away February 28, 2020. Born in West Reading, Mrs. Stump was the daughter of the late Harry and Gladys (Nagle) Fick. She was a member of Praise Christian Fellowship Church. Mrs. Stump was employed by Letease Leather in Reading as a leather designer; by Bortz Chocolates in Reading as a candy maker and by David Crystal/IZOD as a seamstress until her retirement. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; enjoyed sewing, word search puzzles, Elvis Presley, Vince Gill, Country Music, the beach and served for the International Ladies Garment union representative. Mrs. Stump is survived by her children George A. Stump, husband of Renee Stump of Rifle, Colorado; Cynthia L. Miller, wife of David J. Miller of Temple; Crystal L. Lill, wife of Brent Lill of Temple; Michael D. Stump, husband of Justine Stump of Temple; her 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Mrs. Stump is also survived by her siblings Edward D. Fick, husband of Patricia Fick of Reading; Arlan Fick of Reading; James Fick, companion to Clayton of Lebanon; Kathleen Goodhart, wife of David Goodhart of Birdsboro; Carol L. Reider, wife of Randy Reider of Mt. Penn; Lori Wentzel of Mt. Penn and was preceded in death by her grandson Corey M. Stump; brothers Harry, Richard and Dave Fick.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 3551 North Broad Street, PHILA 19140 in memory of Mrs. Beverly A. Stump.
