Betty Schroll

Betty B. Schroll, 85, of Sinking Spring, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 4:04 am in Reading Hospital. She was taken to the hospital from Berks Heim where she was a guest for the past 2 years. Mrs. Schroll was the wife of Mervin E. Schroll. Born in Spring Township she was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Jennie I. (Field) Brossman. Mrs. Schroll was a 1949 graduate of Wilson High School and was later employed as a secretary at Wilson High School. She then worked in the receiving department at Donecker's in Ephrata for 26 years retiring in 1994. In addition to her husband Mervin, Mrs. Schroll is survived by her daughters Cynthia E. Schroll, wife of Stephen A. Kalinowski of Stillwater, PA and Elizabeth A. Kreitz, wife of Paul A. Kreitz of Wernersville along with her grandchildren Brad and Staci and great grandchildren Aidan and Brooklyn. She was preceded in death by her brother Charles F. Brossman.
Funeral Service will be held in Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 1:30 pm. Reverend Kerry L. Hicks will officiate. Interment will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Tuesday 12:30-1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania PO Box 27540, Philadelphia, PA 19118 in memory of Mrs. Betty B. Schroll.
