Betty Lutz

Betty J. Lutz, 91, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Manor Care Laureldale. She was the beloved wife of William J. Lutz who passed away on June 24, 1991. Born in Alsace Township, she was the daughter of Elmer O. Fick and Elsie S. (Rothenberger) Fick. During her life she worked for AT&T in Reading for 12 years retiring on November 14, 1975. In addition to her husband and parents, Betty was predeceased by her beloved son Robin W. Lutz who passed away on August 13, 2007; brothers, George D. Fick, Ray E. Fick, Warren R. Fick and sisters, Dorothy M. Miller and June M. Dreibelbis. She is survived by her companion of 22 years Richard Dunkel, of Muhlenberg Township; daughter-in-law, Robin Lutz, of Alsace Township; brother, Marvin Fick, husband of Dorothy, of Boyertown; sisters, Fern F. Finch, wife of Donald, of Alsace Township; Carol A. Brumbach wife of, Nevin, of Alsace Township; sister- in- law Sheila Fick, of Fleetwood; and several nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at Bean Funeral Home, N. 16th & Rockland Street, Reading, 19605, on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 10:00am. Amy S. Landis, certified celebrant will officiate. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home from 9:00am-10:00am. Flowers are accepted or in lieu of flowers donations made be made to the Lutz Family Memorial Fund, care of Berks County Community Foundation, 237 Court Street Reading, Pa 19601, in memory of Betty J.
