Betty A. Koller

Betty A. Koller, 98, formerly of Reading, passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at Stone Ridge Towne Centre Myerstown. She was the wife of the late Elmer E. Koller, who passed away in 2002. Born in Reading, on January 20, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Gertrude (Schaeffer) Distasio.

Betty was a 1943 graduate of Reading High School; she served as a Wave in the United States Navy as a Storekeeper, serving during WWII. Betty was last employed by DuVud Sportswear in Reading for 20 years as a bookkeeper. Betty’s travels took her to Germany, Mexico, Hawaii and Florida and several other states.

Betty is survived by a daughter Judy C. Koller, Womelsdorf; and son Brian, husband of Patricia (Spahn) Koller of Conway S.C; 5 grandchildren, Roger (Laurie) Hostetter, Brian (Karena) Hostetter, Jeffrey (Tammy) Koller, Mark (Larina) Koller, Michelle (Brian) McDonald; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Betty was predeceased by 2 brothers, Clair Witmer and Jay Witmer; and 2 sisters, A. Hazel Richards and Nancy Uliasz

Funeral Service will be held at Bean Funeral Homes 1605 Rockland Street Reading, PA 19604 on Friday, July 14, 2023 at 12:30pm. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive relatives and friends from 11:00am-12:30pm. Donations may be made in Betty A. Koller memory to The Alzheimer’s Association.
