Betty Katzaman

Betty Jane Katzaman, 84, formerly of Green Street, Reading, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2016 in Penn State Health-St. Joseph Hospital. She was transferred to the hospital from Berks Heim where she resided. Mrs. Katzaman was the wife of the late Raymond E. Katzaman. Born in Muhlenberg Township, she was he daughter of the late Clarence and Dorothy (Klineschmidt) Staver. She was employed as a line worker at Bachman's in Reading, then as a lunch room aide at 13th & Green Elementary School and retired in 1990 from CNA Insurance in Reading as a clerk. She was past president of Band Aids of Reading High School; co founder and past president of the Reading Turtle Club and gave to others with her time and talent. Mrs. Katzaman is survived by her children Michael E. Katzaman, husband of Diane M. Katzaman of Wernesville; David B. Katzaman, husband of Debra A. Katazman of Wyomissing and Cathy Ludwig, wife of Earl Ludwig of New Orleans, Louisiana along with her 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be held in Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 2:00 pm. Reverend Paul L. Jones will officiate. Interment will be held in Pleasant View Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday 1:30-2:00 pm.
