Betty Adams

Betty L. Adams, 98, of Reading, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021 at 7:30 pm at Berks Heim.  Born in Reading, Ms. Adams was the daughter of the late Earl H. and Emma G. (Dechant) Adams.  She was a 1941 graduate of Reading High School and was a member of Nativity Lutheran Church.  Ms. Adams was employed by Bell of PA for 42 years in the business office retiring in 1985.  She enjoyed traveling, going to lunch with friends and was an avid walker.  Ms. Adams is survived by her sister Geraldine R. Hart, wife of the late Jack Hart of Reading and 3 nieces and 1 nephew.  She was preceded in death by her brothers Earl H. Adams, Jr.; Robert W. Adams and sister Anna Mae Adams as well as a nephew.

Graveside service will be held at Laureldale Cemetery 4631 Pottsville Pike, Muhlenberg Township, Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 2:30 pm.  Reverend Carol B. Kehler will officiate.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Nativity Lutheran Church 1501 North 13th Street, Reading, PA 19604 in memory of Mrs. Betty L.
