Bernice B. Kochard, nee Faust, 93, passed away peacefully of natural causes on January 25, 2017 at Country Meadows Retirement Community in Wyomissing, PA.
Born on February 26, 1923 in Reading, PA, she was one of seven children born to Hulda (Schoellkopf) and Irvin Faust, Sr. Bernice was married for 69 years to George W. Kochard, who passed away in 2011.
A graduate of Shillington High School, she was employed for many years by the Bortz Chocolate Company in Shillington, managed rental properties with her husband in Ocean City, N.J., and was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Shillington.
She was predeceased by brothers Irvin Faust, Jr. and Wilbur Faust; sisters Shirly Faust and Carol Jean Lloyd; son David Kochard and his wife, Susie; and Sheryl Lawlor, raised as her sister.
Survivors: Sons Dennis Kochard and Dale Kochard and his wife, Beverly; daughter Deborah Seagreaves and her husband, Peter; grandchildren Sean Kochard and his wife, Suzie, Tara Kochard, A. Peter Seagreaves, and Nicholas Kochard; step granddaughter Pam Boguslowski and her husband, John; three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and brothers Richard Faust and his wife, Vivian, and Paul Faust and his wife, Marian.
Services and interment will be private.
