Bernard Smith

Bernard Gerard Smith, 50, of Bern Township, passed away April 5, 2011 at 3:47 pm in The Reading Hospital & Medical Center. Born in Darby, PA he was the son of Patricia M. (Hogan) Smith of Collingdale, PA and the late Paul F. Smith. He was a printer for IWCO Direct in Hamburg and a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Hamburg. He loved his family and friends, enjoyed golf, the beach and hiking to the Pinnacle near Hamburg. He was a loving father to Megan M. Smith of Bern Township, Courtney Alana Smith at home, Tierney Rose Smith at home, Bernard G. Smith, Jr. loving companion of Kristen L. Moyer of Wernersville. He was a loving grandfather to Lily Marie Smith. Also surviving are his loving companion Denyne J. Fitzpatrick of Mount Penn and siblings Paul J. Smith of Aston, PA, Patricia C. Murphy of Coatesville, PA, Joseph F. Smith of Landsdowne, PA, Thomas I. Smith of Fairview Village, PA, Nora Rose Haase of Aston, PA and Jeanette M. Lewis of Aston, PA. He was preceded in death by sisters Geraldine Bowden and Barbara A. Smith.
