Barry Schaedler

Barry L. Schaedler, 58, of Muhlenberg Twp., died peacefully at the Hershey Medical Center on Saturday, June 5, 2010, with his family by his side. Born in Reading, he was the husband of Donna (Prince) Schaedler. The couple shared 26 wonderful years of marriage. He was the son of Charlotte (Miller) Schaedler of Laureldale and the late Floyd Schaedler. Retiring in 2004, Barry worked as an operating engineer for Lucent Technologies for 34 years. Barry acted as the assistant Fire Chief at the Goodwill Fire Company, Hyde Park, from 1977-81. Barry's many loves included his motorcycle, fishing, boating, gardening, and going to the Reading Phillies with his best buddy Josh. He especially enjoyed participating in motorcycle rides benefiting area children's organizations. In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by two daughters: Brianne T. (Schaedler), wife of Daniel P. Gruber of Shillington, Deborah A. (Schaedler) Beeman of Mohnton; and a son: Jason H. Schaedler, husband of Rebecca A. Campbell of Wyomissing. There are also five grandchildren: Jessica, Taylor, Madeline, Alexander, and Isabelle. He is also survived by a brother: Floyd, husband of Helene Schaedler; several nieces and nephews, and many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly. In addition to his father, he is pre deceased by a brother: Russell Miller.
