Barbara M. Tillman

Barbara M. Tillman, 85, of Cumru Township, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at 12:36 pm at the Heritage at Green Hills. She was preceded in death by her first husband Stanley G. Hole, November 10, 1973 and by her second husband Herman J. Tillman, August 30, 1994. Born in Reading, Barbara was the daughter of the late Harold and Arlene (Burkhart) Focht. She was employed as a manager at Pipeline Petroleum in Sinking Spring for 16 years retiring in 2001. Barbara was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Senior Club and served as Treasurer for 9 years and was also a member of the Board and served as Trip Chairman. She is survived by her children Robin L. Pauley wife of the late Charles K. Pauley, Jr. and fiancé of the late Charles High of Reading; Michelle C. Shunk wife of William B. Shunk of Cumru Township; Scott M. Hole husband of Judith A. Hole of Wyomissing; Keith A. Hole of Reading and her step-children and their families. Mrs. Tillman is also survived by her 7 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren and was preceded in death by her grandson. The family of Barbara would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the Staff at the Heritage at Green Hills Memory Care Unit and the Staff at Bayada Hospice for their love, care and support. 

Funeral Service will be held at Bean Funeral Home, 6 Fairlane Road, Exeter Township, Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 10:00 am. Reverend Mark E. Brophy will officiate. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home Saturday from 8:30 am to 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Senior Club at Alsace Lutheran Church 2201 Kutztown Road, Reading, PA 19605 or Alzheimer’s Association 225 North Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, Illinois 60601 in memory of Mrs. Barbara M.
