Barbara Peffel

Barbara Ann (Schein) Peffel, 76, of Wyomissing, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2022, at Willow Brook Rehabilitation and Heathcare Center. She was the loving wife to George P. Peffel, Jr. for 48 years, before his passing on November 28, 2017. Born in Reading, Barbara was the daughter of the late, Clarence W. Schein and Anna M. (George). She was a graduate of Reading High School, Class of 1965 and worked for many years with the reunion committee. After high school, Barbara worked at CarTech, then as a legal secretary, a court stenographer, and retired as Judicial Administrative Assistant for The Honorable Jeffrey L. Schmehl.

Surviving Barbara are her sons, Eric Peffel, husband of Laura, of Fleetwood, and Michael Peffel, husband of Christal, of Muhlenberg Township as well as her grandchildren, Kaeden, Cameron and Sophia. She is also survived by her sister, Elaine Heiser, wife of Richard, her sister-in-law, Sharon Schein, and several nephews and a niece. Barbara is predeceased by her brother, Delroy Schein.

A prayer service for Barbara will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at 9:30 AM in Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave, Sinking Spring. Internment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery.
