Barbara A. Kurz, 78, of Spring Township, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 7:39 am in Hershey Medical Center. She was the wife of Neil R. Kurz. Born in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late Daniel J. and Esther A. (Rissmiller) Roland. She was a 1954 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School and was a member of Wyomissing UCC in Gouglersville. In addition to her husband, Mrs.Kurz is survived by her sons Vincent R. Eshelman, II, husband of Christine Eshelman of East Petersburg, Lancaster County; Barry L. Eshelman, husband of Lisa D. Eshelman of Whitfield and Michael D. Eshelman, husband of Lori Eshelman of Sinking Spring. She is also survived by her step children Mary Ripken, wife of Steve Ripken of Chester, Maryland; Jody Junior, wife of Steve Junior of Gambrills, Maryland and Perry Kurz, husband of Janine Kurz of Pasadena, Maryland. Mrs. Kurz is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 8 step grandchildren and 1 step great grandchild as well as her brother Richard Roland of Schuylkill Haven. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was a very kind and generous person with a bubbly personality. Her interests included family, watching sports, plants, reading and listening to music. Full of fun, laughter and spunk, Barbara will be remembered with love and deeply missed by all.
Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Sjogren's Syndrome Foundation at www.sjogrens.org.
