Austin W. Blimline ("Blimmie" to his friends and relatives), passed away on July 31, 2015 in his home.
Born on Mohn's Hill, PA on Dec. 24, 1921. He was the son of Elmer and Goldie (Wiskeyman) Blimline. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Elmer Blimline Jr. and loving wife of 61 years, Dorothy J. (Auchenbach) Blimline.
Blimmie was a graduate of the former Shillington High School, Class of 1940. He also graduated from the New York Institute of Photography. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a photographer and worked for 27 years as a Section Manager for Mack Truck in Allentown, PA, having retired in 1982.
Blimmie enjoyed traveling, woodwork, and reading. He also enjoyed and was dedicated to God by serving on church council and various committees at Alsace Lutheran Church.
He was an active member since 1962 of Vaux Lodge #406, Hamburg and Rajah Shrine. Everyone who ever met Blimmie liked him and he returned that feeling.
Blimmie is survived by his nieces and nephews: Evelyn Braun, Robert Auchenbach, Cheryl Auchenbach, Scott Auchenbach, Randall Blimline, and Gene Blimline, all of whom will sorely miss "Uncle Blimmie".

Services will be held in Bean Funeral Homes, North 16th & Rockland Streets, Hampden Heights, Reading, Friday, August 7, 2015 at 11:00am, Pastor David Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Laureldale Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends 9:00-11:00am.
