Arthur Bowers

Arthur J. “Kippy” Bowers, 89, of Maiden Creek, passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at his residence. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda H. (Heist) Bowers. Born in Reading, Kip was the son of the late LeRoy M. and Mary E. (Andrejansky), Martin Bowers. He was a graduate of Reading High school and served in the United States Army as a Combat MP during the Korean War. Kip worked as a Cabinet Maker for Berchcraft Kitchens, Quaker Made Kitchens, and an Installer/Remodeler for Deluxe Remodeling Co.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Lori B, wife of David Uhazie of Rochester, NY, his grandchildren, Patrick S. and Doug Uhazie.

Kip is predeceased by his sisters, Royetta M. Batz and Betty Jane Trembley, his step-sister, Audrey Ritter.

Funeral Service will be held in Bean Funeral Home, 1605 Rockland Street, Hampden Heights, on Saturday June, 12, 2021 at 10:00 AM. Interment, with military honors, will follow at Frystown Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home on Saturday from 9:00 AM till 10:00 AM.
