Arnold Balatgek

Arnold P. Balatgek, 80, of Exeter Township passed away on June 28, 2017 at Penn State Health- St. Joseph. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Paul and Julia (Valentine) Balatgek . He was a 32-year active member of the Exeter Township Lions Club, 17 years of which he was the organization's Treasurer. Throughout his life, he enjoyed volunteering at the Vision Resource Center, Camp Lily, Boy Scouts of America and the Gibraltar Fire Company. He was also a Master Electrician, owner of Balatgek Electric. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps as well. Arnie enjoyed traveling cross country on his motorcycle, bowling, hunting, and ballroom dancing. Arnie is survived by his loving fiancAC. Patricia Hamilton, of Exeter Township; daughter, Lynn A. Troutman, wife of Mike of Exeter Township; sons, Gary M. Balatgek, husband of Teresa, of Womelsdorf; Chris A. Balatgek, of Mount Penn; Mark A. Balatgek, husband of Holly, of Exeter Township. He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren, Denise, Sarah, Michael, Kaila and Katrina, along with 4 great grandchildren and his brother Robert Bulles, of Blandon and sister, Arlene Sandman, of Exeter Township.
Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at Bean Funeral Home, 6 Fairlane Road, Exeter Township, Monday, July 3, 2017 at 10:30am. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home, Sunday, July 2, 2017 6:00pm-8:00pm and Monday July 3, 2017 9:30am-10:30am.
