Arlington Miller

Arlington R. Miller, 93, of Spring Township, passed away May 7, 2011 at 1:55 pm in The Reading Hosptial & Medical Center. He was the husband of Bernice A. (Fritch) Miller. Born in Hamburg he was the son of the late John E. and Laura Mae (Wilhelm) Miller. He was a forman for Textile Machine Works in Wyomissing for 38 years, retiring March 1, 1978. He was then employed by the Wilson School District as a custodian for 8 years then as a tip staff at the Berks County Courthouse for 14 years. Mr. Miller was a graduate of Hamburg High School, a member of Advent Lutheran Church in West Lawn and served in the United States Army in Europe during WWII. He was also a life member of VFW and American Legion. In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter Kathleen Miller Bodey wife of David A. Bodey of Easton, Maryland and his son Arlington Robert Miller, Jr. husband of Mary D. Miller of Carlisle along with 4 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren as well as his sister Virginia Klee of Leesport.
