Arlene Hoster

Arlene M. Hoster (Hagan), 95, of Kenhorst, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021 at her home. She was the loving wife to Paul S. Hoster for 42 years, before he passed on June 5, 2001. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mabel (Jacobs) Hagan. Arlene was a graduate of Reading High School, class of 1943. She later went on to work for Carpenter Technology as a clerk for 29 years before her retirement in 1986. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cheering for the Phillies and Eagles and church activities.

Arlene is survived by her son, Robert L. Hoster, Husband of Melissa Brown, of East Berlin PA, her granddaughter, Emily Kate Hoster, and her step-grandson, J. Michael Brown, husband of Gabriela, of Miami FL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her siblings, Earl Hagan, Edith Harmon, Elsie Brown, Mary Correnti, and Anna DePaul.

A Celebration of Arlene’s Life will be held in Bean Funeral Homes, 129 E. Lancaster Ave. Shillington on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 10:00 AM, Amy Landis, Certified Celebrant, to officiate. Interment will follow in Christ Yocum’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives in Bean Funeral Home, Shillington on Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
