Anthony Zaharis

Anthony G. Zaharis, 77, of Shillington passed away on Friday September 18, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born in Reading, Anthony was the son of the late George A. Zaharis and Jeannette (Karetas) Sapna. He is survived by his beloved wife, Cheryl L. (Lloyd) Zaharis.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Zaharis is survived by his daughter Daphne A. Zaharis of Shillington and son Anthony J. Zaharis, also of Shillington as well as two grandchildren; Zander and Jax. He was preceded in death by a brother; Paul Zaharis.

After graduating high school, Anthony proudly served in the United States Air Force. He worked as a plant manager at various manufacturing companies and later worked in buildings and grounds and as a substitute courier for Governor Mifflin School District. He was a certified scuba diver and enjoyed fishing. Anthony was a member of The American Legion and of Victor Emmanuel II Beneficial Society.

A private service and interment will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date. Bean Funeral Home, 129 E. Lancaster Avenue Shillington is in charge of arrangements.
