Anthony C. "Chuck" Michalak, 83, of Sinking Spring, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Berks Heim, where he had been a patient since December 21st.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Anthony S. Michalak and Anna M. (Malek) Michalak. He was the husband of Adelaide R. "Addy" (Campbell) Michalak. The couple shared 65 wonderful years of marriage.
He proudly served in the Pacific Theatre with our United States Marines during World War II.
He worked for 42 years in maintenance for Continental Can, retiring in 1988.
He was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola R.C.C.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters: Joanne M. (Michalak), wife of Harry "Rick" McCarty of Shillington; Joyce E. (Michalak) Regula of Wyomissing; and a son: James A. Michalak, husband of Erma Michalak of Exeter Twp.
There are also thirteen grandchildren: Patricia, Dennis, Timothy, Matthew, Jennifer, Christopher, Jeffrey, Bryan, Stephany, Megan, Lauren, Julia, and Kamryn; and six great grandchildren: Amanda, Ryan, Kevin, Chloe, Conner, and Jacob.
