Annette L. Newkirk, 74, formerly of West Reading, passed away November 26, 2015 at Ephrata Manor.
Born in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late Frank L. and Philomena "Mamie" (Novelli) DeCamillo.
Annette was a Legal Secretary at Derr, Hawman & Derr Attorneys at Law in Reading for over 20 years. She also worked at Kasper in the Designer Building at Vanity Fair Outlets for 13 years where she enjoyed helping customers find the perfect outfit.
Survivors include former spouse, John S. Newkirk, Lancaster; daughters Beth A. Newkirk, Lancaster; Eleanor "Ellie" R. Van Duren, wife of Robert S., Kempton; brother Frank DeCamillo, Washington State; sister-in-law Jean DeCamillo, West Reading and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brother Charles L. "Sonny" DeCamillo and sister Marie G. DeCamillo who passed away as a young child.
Annette enjoyed a day of shopping and lunch with her large circle of friends. She loved to cook for her family, friends and neighbors and was always willing to lend a helping hand to others in need.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Annette's memory to Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute, 2102 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster, PA 17604.
Memorial Service will be held in Bean Funeral Homes, 129 East Lancaster Avenue, Shillington, Friday, December 4, 2015 at 11:00am, Rev. David J. Duquette officiating.
