Anna Hoffer

December 6, 1917 — February 6, 2011

Anna M. Hoffer, 93, of Reading, passed away February 6, 2011 at 9:55 am in ManorCare Health Services, Spring Township. She was the wife of Rev. F. Kenneth Hoffer. Born in Shoemakersville, she was the daughter of the late John Snyder and Elda (Woerner) Miller. Mrs. Hoffer was employed by CNA Insurance in Reading for 10 years in the premium audit department, retiring in February of 1982. She was a member of Shillington/Wyomissing Park Reading Hospital Auxiliary, Shoemakersville Fire Company Auxiliary, was an organist, pianist, soloist, choir director, director of Men's chorus, daily vacation bible school and Sunday School at St. Luke's Evangelical Congregational Church in Shillington, Mt. Cullem Evangelical Congregational Church in East Earl and other churches. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling and gardening. In addition to her husband she is survived by her son Craig L. Hoffer of Reading, grandchildren Matthew L. and Melissa A. Hoffer, great grandsons, Braden and Jaden Hoffer, sister Dorothy Krieger of Shoemakersville. She was preceded in death by her grandson Jason G. Hoffer, sister, Marjorie Hunsberger and brother Daniel Snyder who passed away during WWII.
