Anna Gehr

Anna May Gehr, 95, of Mohnton, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 4, 2022 with her family by her side. Anna May was born to the late Paul A. Unger and Elsie Bender Unger on May 26, 1926. She was a devoted wife and homemaker to the late Charles William Gehr for the better part of 48 years.

She helped raise four daughters and made sure they received a college education to enhance their future. She was an excellent cook and created countless delectable meals for her family in the Pennsylvania Dutch style. Her generous love for family knew no bounds. Ever industrious, she had a deep abiding love for crocheting and fashioned numerous handmade heirlooms. She lived close to nature and chose a home in the country to raise her family and teach them to have a deep love and respect for all living things.

She is survived by a sister, Marie, four daughters, Linda, Sheila, Diane and Valerie, three grandchildren, Dustin, Samantha, Cody, and their families, three great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and their families as well as treasured friends.

Funeral Service will be held at Bean Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 129 E. Lancaster Ave. Shillington, PA on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 11:00am.
