Ann L. Martin

              Ann L. Martin, 73, of West Lawn, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023, in the Reading Hospital.  Born in Philadelphia in 1947, she was the daughter of the late Grace Elizabeth (Faulkner) and Francis Saltus Gardner III.  Ann was the loving wife of Ronald E. Martin, who passed away December 24, 2022.  Ann and Ron met in the Wilson High School Band, where they became high school sweethearts. They were married in 1967 and enjoyed 53 years of marriage together.  After graduating from Wilson High School, Ann studied nursing and worked as a Teacher’s Aide for the BCIU for 25 years before retiring in 2015.  She enjoyed travel, taking long walks and working in her yard (as well as her daughters’ yards!).  Most of all Ann loved to spend time with her family and cherished every moment spent with them. Her kind heart and generosity will be remembered and sorely missed by all who knew her.

               Ann is survived by her daughters, Erika L. Martin, wife of Chris Miller of Michigan and Kelly L. Leas, wife of Eric of Lancaster.  Also surviving are her grandchildren, Jack and Grace Miller, her grand-dogs, Linus, Wilhelmina, and Penelope, and her sister, Joan Cromie, of Chicago.  Ann attended St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church.
