Ann Koenig

Ann E. Koenig, 88, formerly of Reading, passed away Monday, January 9, 2017 at 6:00 pm in Manor Care Health Services, Muhlenberg Township where she was a guest for the past 9 years. She was the wife of the late Francis J.Koenig, Jr. who passed away in 1965. Born in Reading, Mrs. Koenig was the daughter of the late Bernard J. and Alice S. (Rundle) Huck. She was a member of Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Reading and was a third shift supervisor at Canteen Inc. in Reading for 8 years. She is survived by her children Annette E. Castellani of Hyde Park, New York; Michael A. Koenig of Reading and Patricia J. Loness of Reading along with her grandchildren Christine Graner; David and Anthony Castellani and Nicholas Loness and her great grandchild Allie Castellani. Also surviving is her sister Jane E. Schaefer of Temple. Mrs. Koenig was preceded in death by her son Frederick B. Koenig, August 26, 2016.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church 1018 North 8th Street Reading, Friday, January 13, 2017 at 10:00 am. Reverend Joseph Ganser, Celebrant. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery.
