Ann Herr

Ann (Kirk) Herr, 78, of Brecknock Twp., passed away June 22, 2009 at 5:30 AM in her residence. She was the wife of Gordon A. Herr. Born in Upper Darby, Delaware County on April 21, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Israel Vernon Kirk and the late Silvia Mary (Fairweather) Kirk.

Mrs. Herr was a 1949 graduate of Upper Darby High School. She was employed as a secretary by Princeton Presbyterian Church from 1974 until 1976, Westminster Choir College from 1977 until 1979 and was a legal secretary at Binder, McGavin & Myers in Reading for 6 years until her retirement in 1986. Ann was a member of West Lawn United Methodist Church and served on the Caring Committee, Telecare Ministry and Prayer Chains.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter Gail A. (Herr) wife of David R. Schulz of Lancaster, and 2 sons Stephen C. Herr husband of R. Kim Parsons of London, Ontario, Canada and Brian K. Herr husband of Janet M. Herr of Denver, 5 grandchildren Bradley T. Herr, Lindsay M. Herr, Christian R. Herr, Kevin R. Schulz and Amy L. Schulz and a brother William B. Kirk of Media. She was predeceased by a son Eric G. Herr in 1967, a sister Dorothy (Kirk) Steinman and a brother Donald B. Kirk.
