Subsequently, she resided in Brooklyn, Jackson Heights, Queens, N.Y., Muhlenberg Twp., and Bernville.
After graduating from Newtown High School in Queens she was a legal secretary. The position of store manager of Pomeroy's brought Anita and her family to Reading in 1947. She frequently modeled for their events.
Anita loved international travel, playing golf, watching baseball and football, sewing, ballroom dancing, oil and ceramic painting, and flower arranging, always with a smile and lots of laughter. Nothing pleased her more than hosting family events with Bart at their home. She charmed all who knew her.

There are three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Her sister, Gene, 94, widow of Edmund A. Gleason, deceased, resides at Keystone Villa of Fleetwood.
