Angeline Lesher

Angeline "Shirley" Lesher, 81 of Kenhorst, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 10:20 am in Reading Hospital. She is survived by her loving husband Richard E. Lesher who together celebrated 60 years of marriage on September 21, 2017. Born in Reading, Mrs. Lesher was the daughter of the late Frank and Julia (Kretzman) Dennis. She loved cooking, baking, trips to Atlantic City Casinos, shopping, animals and above all, her family, who was the most important part of her life. She had a generous heart and was a loving wife and mother. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Lesher is survived by her daughter Debra A. Witman, wife of Troy L. Witman of West Lawn and her niece Linda Schultz, wife of Loring Schultz of Kenhorst and many additional nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son William R. in 2015, her granddaughter Rachel R. in 2006 and her brother Frank Dennis, Jr. in 2017.
Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held in Bean Funeral Home 129 East Lancaster Ave. Shillington Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Amy S. Landis, Certified Celebrant will officiate. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Zion Cemetery, Perry Township. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home Thursday 5:00-6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Humane Society of Berks County 1801 North 11th Street, Reading, PA 19604 in memory of Mrs. Angeline "Shirley" Lesher.
