Angel Colon

Angel G. Colon, 57, of Sinking Spring, passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at 11:42 p.m. at home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Coamo, PR, he was the son of Flora Hernandez of Coamo, PR; and the late Gamaliel Colon. He was the husband of Evelyn (Ortiz) Colon. The couple shared 35 wonderful years of marriage.

He was a 1973 graduate of Reading High School, and a member of Highpoint Baptist Chapel, Geigertown.

He worked as a Foreman for Diebolt Landscaping for the last 10 years. He had a passion for mountain biking, and worked at Shirk's Bike Shop in East Earl, PA. His favorite trail was at French Creek State Park.

In addition to his wife, he is survived a daughter: Yolanda M. (Colon), wife of Silvio Scigliano of Virginia Beach, VA; a son: Michael A., husband of Lisa Colon of Mt. Penn.; and a granddaughter: Sophia.

There are also siblings: Luis, Norma, Aida, Edith, Iris, Israel, Saul, Hector, William, Gil, Brenda, Mirtelina, Elizabeth, and Samuel.

In addition to his father, he is pre deceased by two sisters: Sonia and Arcelia.

The family requests that no flowers be sent, and instead Memorial Contributions be made to Caring Hospice, 400 Commerce Dr. Suite C, Fort Washington, PA 19034.
