Amelia Tothero

Amelia R. “Mia”, (Guidotti) Tothero, 93, formerly of Mohnton PA, passed away Wednesday, November 2 surrounded by family.  Born in Temple, PA, on November 26, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Emidio and Felicia (Valeriano) Guidotti.   She was the widow of the late Richard L. Tothero who died on February 14, 2015.

Amelia graduated in 1947 from Muhlenberg High School.  She was employed at the Curtis Stevens & Embry Shoe Company, Western Electric Co. and SharpPoint Medical Surgical Supply.  Her positions involved quality control, research and development.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Lisa, in 1969 and by her brothers Vincent and Pietro Guidotti and sisters Grace (Guidotti) Becker and Helen (Guidotti) Filippini.  She is survived by her brother Raymond Guidotto, husband of Mary, of Riverview Park, along with many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.  Amelia was a beautiful woman who showed much love to her family and life-long friends.

A celebration of Life Service will be held at Bean Funeral Home 129 E Lancaster Avenue, Shillington, Monday, November 7, 2022 at 11:00 am.   Reverend E. Michael Camilli will officiate.  Interment will be held at the convenience of the family at Forest Hills Memorial Park.   The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home Monday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.  Online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com
