Alverta Oswald

Alverta Oswald, 98, of Reading, passed away on Tuesday, December 2nd at 8:17 a.m. at St. Joseph's Medical Center, where she had been a patient since November 27th.

Born in Hyde Park, she was the daughter of the late Harry Becker and Nora (Wentzel) Becker, and widow of Howard J. Oswald, who passed away on June 23, 1985.

She was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her daughters: Betty L. (nee Oswald), widow of William H. Creary of Reading, with whom Mrs. Oswald resided, and Joanne M. (nee Oswald), wife of Thomas L. Redcay of Jacksonville, FL.

There are also three grandsons: Marc, Michael, and Thomas; and four great grandchildren: Dana, Alex, Alison, and Rachel.
