Alta Matz

Alta C. Matz, 85, of Columbia Cottage in Spring Twp. and formerly of West Lawn, passed away October 30, 2009 at 5:23 AM in her residence. She was the wife of Marlin L. Matz who passed away September 21, 1997. Born in Reading on March 2, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Clyde P. and Edna M. (Sheidy) Reinert.

Mrs. Matz was a 1942 graduate of Shillington High School. She was employed as a teller at the West Lawn Branch of what is currently the Wachovia Bank for 20 years retiring in 1977.

Mrs. Matz was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.

Surviving are 2 daughters Karen M. Matz of Mohnton and Jody L. (Matz) wife of Neal S. Lebo of Sinking Spring, 2 grandchildren Erin (Lebo) Weaver and Brian Lebo, a great grandson Nathan Weaver, a brother Clyde A. Reinert and 2 sisters Jane A. Reinert and Irene J. (Reinert) widow of Lester R. Matz all of Shillington.
