Alexander Piecukonis, 87, of Myerstown, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 4:30 p.m. at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Alexander Piecukonis Sr. and Rose (Pochuts) Piecukonis.
He was the widow of Elli E. (Wittmann) Piecukonis, who passed away in September of 2007. He lovingly cared for his wife during her ten year struggle with Alzheimer's Disease.
He was a US Army Veteran during World War II, serving as a Chief Warrant Office 3rd Class in the Pacific Theatre.
He worked as a Supervisor in the Home Mortgage Dept. at Continental Bank for 25 years.
He was very active and popular at Stoneridge E.C.C Retirement Village in Myerstown, where he was a resident for several years.
He is survived by his daughter: Sandra Piecukonis of Reading; and a son: Bruce A. Piecukonis of King of Prussia.
There are also two granddaughters: Dawn and Melissa; and a great granddaughter: Katrina.
He is also survived by his loving Pekingese: To'Chi
