Alberta Schwartz

Alberta T. Schwartz, 92, formerly of Exeter Township, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2015 in Sacred Heart Villa. She was the wife of the late Charles J. Schwartz who passed away April 30, 1994. Born in Reading she was the daughter of the late Paul G. and Theresa (Gieringer) Schower. Mrs. Schwartz was a 1940 graduate of Central Catholic High School and attended McCann's School of Business. She was a member of St. Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, Exeter Township and was a secretary at Central Catholic High School from 1939-1948 and then was a specialized clerk at Bank of Pennsylvania from 1975 until her retirement in 1987. She was a CCD teacher at St. Catharine of Siena RCC for 17 years; served on the board of St. Catharine's 50+ Club and was a Den Mother for Troop 358. Mrs. Schwartz is survived by her Daughter Pamela L. Schumacher, wife of Steven A. Schumacher of Sinking Spring and her sons Charles A. Schwartz, husband of Linda A. Schwartz of Muhlenberg Township and Peter J. Schwartz, husband of Kathleen S. Schwartz of Exeter Township and her daughter in law Cheryl Schwartz of Exeter Township along with her 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister Louise A. Deeds of Newtown, PA. She was preceded in death by her sons, Brian P. Schwartz; Dennis M. Schwartz and Thomas J. Schwartz along with her siblings Kenneth Schower, Paul Schower, Gerard Schower, Cass Schipe and Virginia Davis.
Funeral procession will depart Bean Funeral Home, 6 Fairlane Road, Exeter Township, Friday, September 11, 2015 at 9:15 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, 4975 Boyertown Pike, Exeter Township at 10:00 am. Reverend Monsignor Edward R. Domin, Celebrant. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home, Friday 8:15-9:15 am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church Memorial Fund, 2427 Perkiomen Ave. Mount Penn, PA 19606 in memory of Mrs. Alberta T. Schwartz.
