Albert "Tex" Werner Sr.

Albert “Tex” Werner Sr., 85, of Shillington, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 4, 2024 at the Reading Hospital. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late George and Ruth (Dillon) Werner. Tex was a graduate of Governor Mifflin High School, Class of 1956. He served proudly in the United States Army Reserve. During his life, he worked as a machine operator for Maiers Bakery for 24 years, until retiring in 2000. Tex favorite memories were playing football alongside his brother for Governor Mifflin High School. Tex also ran track. He loved Penn State Football and had season tickets for over 30 years. Tex was also an original member of the 7-Point Hunting Camp.

Tex is survived by his son, Albert, wife of Lisa, of Exeter Township; daughter, Stacey, of Jupiter, Florida; 3 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and a brother, Gary.
