Albert L. "Larry" "Stick" Bednar, Jr., 54, of Exeter Township, passed away April 8, 2011 at 11:35 pm in The Reading Hospital & Medical Center. He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Debra M. (Doggendorf) Bednar. Born in Hanau Army Base in Germany, he was the son of the late Albert L. Sr. and Mildred H. (Gazdacko) Bednar. Mr. Bednar was a 1974 graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School and a 1978 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Criminology and Political Science. He was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service in Pottstown for 23 years and while attending Centennial Lutheran Church in Kimberton he served on church council, membership committee, usher and Easter Breakfast Chairman and was currrently attending Schwarzwald Lutheran Church in Jacksonwald. He was a Gift of Life Donor, member of Pottstown Quoit Club, avid Eagles fan, played baseball from grade school through high school and played softball in the Pottstown/Phoenixville area for FUBAR. In additon to his wife , he was a loving and dedicated father to Elizabeth K. Bednar and Allison L. Bednar, both at home along with his brother Andrew Kushner of Uniontown, PA and sister Susan Bednar of Lakewood, Ohio as well as many nephews, nieces and cousins. Also survivng is his mother in law Louise (Holcombe) Doggendorf of Royersford, brother in laws Daniel husband of Loretta (Lawless) Doggendorf of Washington Crossing, PA, David husband of Suzanne (Krissinger) Doggendorf of Exton, and his "buddy" Casey.
