Adelaide Michalak

December 12, 1926 — April 8, 2016

Adelaide R. Michalak, 89, of Exeter Township, passed away April 8, 2016 in Berkshire Center, where she was a guest since January 11th.
She was the widow of Anthony C. Michalak, who passed away March 3, 2010.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late David U. and Ruth (Tobias) Campbell.
Mrs. Michalak was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church and was employed at Berk Tek as a quality control inspector for 20 years, retiring in 1988.
She was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, baking and crocheting but most importantly spending time with family. Sending greeting cards to family and friends with hand written notes was something everyone cherished from Adelaide.
Survivors include her loving children Joanne M. McCarty, wife of Harry "Rick", Shillington; Joyce E. Regula, Shillington; James A. Michalak, husband of Erma, Exeter Twp.; 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; sister in laws: Bonnie Campbell and Nettie Thomas both of Cumru Twp. She was preceded in death by brothers Richard, Robert, James, and David Campbell and sister Jean Robinson.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mrs. Michalak's memory to American Cancer Society: 498 E. Bellevue Avenue, Reading, PA 19605.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Ignatius Loyola RCC, 2810 St. Alban's Drive, Sinking Spring, Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 12:00pm. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Tuesday 6:00-8:00pm in Bean Funeral Homes, 3825 Penn Avenue, Sinking Spring and Wednesday 11:00-11:45am at church.
