A Johnson

A. Rose Johnson, 87, of Reading, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at Berkshire Center in Exeter Twp., where she had been a patient for 22 months.

Born in Hazelton, PA, she was a daughter of the late Angelo Lecce and Lucy (Piccino) Lecce.

She was the widow of Emerson "John" E. Johnson, who passed away on March 18, 1991.

She was a member of Sacred Heart R.C.C., West Reading.

Having a history of accomplishments in the beauty industry, Rose was the owner and stylist of the Nannette Beauty Salon, Reading. Later, Rose directed her career to become supervisor of Empire Beauty School and Bryland Beauty School, both of Reading. This also included area manager of the former Renee Beauty Salon while working with the Empire System.

Rose's last goal in her endeavors was to become a consultant and platform artist for the Zotos Company of Darien, Conn., where she ended her life long commitment in the industry.

She is survived by her brother: Samuel J. Lecce, husband of Carolyn M. Lecce of Reading, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was pre deceased by brothers: Leonard A. and Morris Lecce, and a sister: Nancy (Lecce) Palladino.
