A. Hain

Irene Hain, 97, formerly of Wyomissing, passed away Monday, January 9, 2017 at 8:04 pm in Wyomissing Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Born in New Freedom, York County, Miss Hain was the daughter of the late Andrew S. and Anna Wiles Hain. She graduated from Skidmore College and attended Syracuse University, and was a member of Advent Lutheran Church in West Lawn. Miss Hain taught music at public schools in Oswagatchie, Berlin and Cornwall-on-Hudson, New York. As a cellist she performed works of the chamber repertoire with her sister, Elizabeth Hain, and played regularly with the Reading Symphony. She is survived by her 4 nephews, 4 great nephews and 3 great nieces.
Memorial Service will be held in Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 10:30 am. Reverend Mark R. Rigg will officiate. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Reading Symphony Orchestra 147 North 5th Street, #2 Reading, PA 19601 in memory of Ms. A. Irene Hain.
