Richard Hoffmaster, Jr.

Richard L. Hoffmaster, Jr., 78, of Reading, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021 at 4:30 am in Reading Hospital.  He was the husband of Judith A. (Hartman) Hoffmaster. Born in West Reading, Mr. Hoffmaster was the son of the late Richard L. Hoffmaster, Sr. and Fern S. (MacLatchie) Hoffmaster.  He was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Reading and served in the United States Army.  Mr. Hoffmaster was employed by Firestone Tire & Rubber Company in Pottstown and Baldwin Hardware, both in inventory control.  He was an avid country and oldies music fan, Brooklyn Dodgers fan, and he also enjoyed reading and going to the beach with his family.  In addition to his wife Judith, Mr. Hoffmaster is survived by his son Brian R. Hoffmaster, husband of Janell Hoffmaster of Wernersville and his grandchildren Bradley and Emily.  He was preceded in death by his brother Ronald D. Hoffmaster and sister Suzanne F. Hoffmaster.

Funeral Service will be held in Bean Funeral Home 1605 Rockland Street, Hampden Heights, Wednesday, May 5,  2021 at 12:00 pm.  Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.  The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home Wednesday 10:30 am to 12:00 pm.  Online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com
