Ernst, 85, of Wyomissing Hills, passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 7:05 p.m. at Berks Heim Nursing Home, where she had been a patient for 14 years. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Leonard Firing and Merla (Locke) Firing. She was the wife of James J. Ernst. The couple shared 68 wonderful years of marriage. She was a 1942 graduate of Reading High School, and worked for 44 years as an inspector for Arrow International, before retiring in 1987. In addition to her husband, she is survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation: Friends will be received Wednesday from 10 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Service: Services from the Bean Funeral Homes, 3825 Penn Ave., Sinking Spring, Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Bonnie Dalious officiating. Cemetery: Interment in Forest Hills Memorial Park |
