  Mark F. Boyer, 91, of The Highlands at Wyomissing, passed away March 4, 2010 at 3:35 AM.  He was the husband of Florence (Bleiler) Boyer who passed away March 17, 1997.  Born in Palmerton, Carbon Co., on December 30, 1918, he was the son of the late Frank A. and Florence (Handwerk) Boyer.

     Mr. Boyer was a 1936 graduate of Stephen S. Palmer High School in Palmerton and a 1940 graduate of Albright College.  He was an Army veteran of World War 2.  He was employed by the former U.S. Fidelity & Guarantee Co. in Baltimore, MD for 36 years retiring January 1, 1984 as Assistant Secretary.

     Surviving are a daughter Susan Boyer Szczypinski widow of Dr. Adam  Szczypinski of Timonium, MD; a sister Anna Boyer Kost wife of John Kost of Wyomissing, 2 step grandchildren John Prater Szczypinski husband of Betsy and Jeffrey Wade Szczypinski and 4 step great grandchildren Patrick, Justin, Brandon and Brooke.

     Mr. Boyer is a member of Moriah Lodge #116 F & AM, Towson, MD, of Scottish Rite of Freemasonry,  Balitimore, MD and of Boumi Temple (Shrine) of Baltimore, MD an Associate Member of Rajah Temple, Reading, and a member of Hunt Valley Golf Club, Hunt Valley, MD.. He is also a member of Lincoln Park Community United Methodist Church.
