Name: Roger Lee Stevenson Dates: Birth date: January 12, 1957 Death date: May 16, 2012 Obituary: Roger Lee Stevenson, 55, of Sinking Spring, passed away May 16, 2012 at 8:54 pm in The Reading Hospital & Medical Center. He was the husband of Lisa A. (Smith) Stevenson. Born in Reading he was the son of the late Dr. Donald and Marion (Hoverter) Stevenson. Mr. Stevenson attended St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church and was a graduate of Reading High School and received his Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from Villanova University. He was employed by GPU as a telecommunications engineer, and finished his career working for PHEAA. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and listening to music and loved animals, especially his three cats. In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter Megan M. Stevenson who is a student at Berks Technical Institute for Early Childhood Education. Also surviving are his brothers Randy Stevenson of Downingtown and Robert Stevenson of Pine Hill, New Jersey. Memorials: In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to American Heart Association 212 East Broad Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018 in memory of Mr. Roger Lee Stevenson. Visitation: The family will receive friends Monday, May 21, 2012 from 8-10:00 am. Service: Prayer service will be held in Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, Monday, May 21, 2012 at 10:00 am. Cemetery: Interment Berks County Memorial Gardens. |
