   Ida Margaret “Shuggie” Felix, 65, of Exeter Township, formerly of Cannonsburg, PA,  passed away May 15, 2013 at 7:55 pm in her residence of natural causes.  She was the wife of Robert R. “Ray” Felix.  Born in Selma,  Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Richard Andrew Piatnek and Ida Margaret(Walton) Piatnek.  She attended St. Patrick’s School in Cannonsburg and received a bachelors of arts degree from Immaculata College.  She was employed as a senior rebate analyst for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals in Great Valley for 15 years retiring in 2011.  In addition to her husband Mrs. Felix is survived by her daughter Christine L. Schulz wife of Hans J. Schulz of Pottstown and her son Joseph L. Piatnek fiancé of Betsy A. Barnett of Hershey.  She is also survived by her grandchildren Chelsea, Michael, Sarah, Bethany, Cody and Bianka and her great grandchildren Lily and Savannah.    She is also survived by her brother Richard Andrew Piatnek, Jr. husband of Rebecca Piatnek of Bruceton Mills, West Virginia and her sister Carol Piatnek-McCoy, PhD wife of Michael McCoy of Gainesville, Florida along with several nieces and nephews.
The moment that you died my heart was torn in two, one side filled with heartache, the other died with you.  
I’ll lie awake at night, when the world is fast asleep, and take a walk down memory lane, with tears upon my cheeks.
Remembering you will be easy, I’ll do  it every day, but missing you is a heartache that will never go away.

Himmelreich, 85, of Shillington, passed away May 15, 2013 at 2:25 PM in ManorCare Health Care Services in Sinking Spring where she resided for 2 months. Born in Reading on April 4, 1928 she was a daughter to the late Charles J. and Nettie B. (Jacobs) Hemmig.
      Jean was a graduate of Shillington High School.  She was the owner of the former Washerette Laundromat at 6th &amp; Pine Streets in Reading from 1952 until 1987.  She then worked as a shirt presser at Special Dry Cleaners in Reading for 5 years. 
      Surviving are two daughters Dianne M. Himmelreich at home and Debra L. (Himmelreich) wife of Jeffrey D. Button of Vinemont and a brother Jack H. Hemmig at home.
     Jean was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Shillington.

Born in Lebanon, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Kathryn (Ranck) Snyder.
Catherine was a graduate of Lebanon High School and later went on to have a career at Western Electric working as an inspector for over 30 years. 
Survivors: Son: Barry A. Gilbert, husband of Linda J., of Cumru Twp.; daughter: Paulette M. Bollinger, wife of Barry L. of Muhlenberg Twp.; 3 Grandchildren; 7 Great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.

<title>Kay E. Bell [02/27/1943 - 05/13/2013] </title>

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://beanfuneralhomes.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/77_143659.jpg" alt="Kay E. Bell" />Kay E. (Scheidt) Bell, aged 70, reached the end of her valiant decade-long battle with multiple myeloma on May 13, 2013 at 6:30 am in Penn State Hershey Medical Center. A resident of Oley, she was born in Robeson Township in 1943. Kay was the daughter of the late John S. and Viola A. (Seyler) Scheidt. One of her proudest achievements during her youth was being the Valedictorian of Twin Valley High School’s Class of 1961. She went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from Ursinus College in 1965. Kay was employed as an office manager by Tom Sturgis Pretzels for 17 years, retiring in 2004. She was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Gibraltar. She will be remembered as a person full of life and energy. Her dynamic personality always shone through, even at the lowest points of her lengthy illness. Those that knew her will treasure their memories of her bright eyes, cheerful smile, and warm nature.

A devoted mother, Ms. Bell is survived by her son Eric J. Bell, husband of Lizabeth Stavenski-Bell of Birdsboro, and her daughter Denise M. (Bell) Polin, wife of Lawrence W. Polin of Harrisburg. She was the beloved Grandmom of Alia C. Bell, and the adored Lao Lao of Tessa M. Polin. Also surviving are her siblings: Terry Scheidt, husband of Elsie Scheidt of Blandon; Neil Scheidt husband of Elaine Scheidt of Exeter Township; and Lois Scheidt of Reading. Kay leaves behind her steadfast feline companion, Twister, who brought her great comfort during her illness. In addition to her surviving family, Kay will be remembered by her many friends. Words cannot begin to describe how much their support and caring meant to her throughout the years.

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://beanfuneralhomes.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/77_143594.jpg" alt="Susan A. Cafurello" />     Susan A. (Sabanos) Cafurello of Reading, aged 65, wife of Andrew P. Cafurello passed away on Sunday May 12th at Manor Care Nursing Home, Sinking Spring.  Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mae (Maurer) Sabanos.
     Susan was a member of St. Anthony of Padua RCC, Millmont.  Susan was especially devoted to her late father Joseph. Susan worked tirelessly toward seeing that Joseph was comfortable and taken care of after Mae’s death.  Susan was employed for over 20 years as a candy packer at the former Zipf’s in West Reading, then changed careers to be an assembler at Gai Tronics in Mohnton, last working in 2009.
     Susan enjoyed long weekends at the shore with Andy at their trailer near Rehoboth Beach, vacationing in Jamaica, family picnics, and Sunday trips to Dorney Water Park.  Susan was a big fan of the soap General Hospital, watching it via VCR daily for over 25 years, and also loved to talk Eagles football with her son Anthony.
     Survivors in addition to her husband, include her beloved son Anthony J. Elmo husband to Cheryl L. (Lesitsky) Elmo, beloved sister Lisa (Sabanos) Spotts, grandson Michael T. Graeff husband to Cory (Becker) Graeff, nieces Tiffany, Melissa, Victoria, and Holly, Mother-in-law Betty Cafurello, and sister in law Nannette.
     The family wishes to thank the staff and caregivers at Rittenhouse Senior Living, Chestnut Knoll Memory Care, and finally Manor Care Nursing Home.  Special appreciation to Holly for helping so much through Susan’s final days.

Born in Laureldale,  she was the daughter of the late Charles Q. and Anna E. (Brown) Shaver.  She was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church and a life member and former secretary for the National Association of Insurance Women and was employed by Aetna Casualty and Surety as an  administrative supervisor for 30 years retiring in 1990.  Mrs. Moore is survived by her sons Robert S. Moore companion of Jane Heatwole of Reading and David W. Moore, Jr. husband of Kathleen M. Moore of Blandon.  She is also survived by her grandson Andrew David Moore husband of Paige Amanda Moore and her great granddaughter Lexi Kathleen Moore. Essig, 89, of 130 First Street, Wernersville, passed away peacefully at home May 11, 2013. Carl was born in Blue Marsh, Pennsylvania on July 27, 1923. He was the son of the late Webster and Helen (Shaffer) Essig. He was pre-deceased by his wife Catherine L. (Wanner) Essig in 1988. Carl was a Crane Operator at Dickerson Construction Company from where he retired in 1985. He was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers of Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware for 65 years.He was in the United States Navy Seabees during WWII.  

Survivors include a son: Rich H. Essig, husband of Fran J. Marino of Woodbridge, VA; two brothers: Robert Essig and Richard Essig of Lower Heildelberg Twp.; two sisters: Fern Holtzman of Womelsdorf and Jean, wife of George Lutz of Spring Twp.; a grandson: Shane M., husband of Keely Essig of Thornton, CO; two great-grandsons: Austin and Blaine; and a great-granddaughter: Hannah

Rickert, 89, of 1800 Tulpehocken Road, Wyomissing, passed away at Reading Hospital May 11, 2013. Ethel was born in Reading, Pennsylvania on February 8, 1924. She was the daughter of the late Paul M. and Irene (DeTemple) Fehr. She was pre-deceased by her husband Raymond I. Rickert in April 23, 2006. She graduated from Muhlenberg Township High School in 1942. Ethel worked at Pomeroy’s for 9 years and she was a secretary at Insurance Inc. for 13 years from where she retired in February 28, 1991. She was a member of West Lawn Senior Citizens and of West Lawn Auxiliary of Reading Hospital.

Survivors include a daughter: Karen A., wife of Pierre Annaballi of Coatesville, PA; a son: Ronald P., husband of Suzan (Hile) Rickert of Westminister, Colorado; three brothers: Russell Fehr of Elizabethtown, PA, John Fehr of Gibraltar, PA, and she was pre-deceased by a brother Richard Fehr; two sisters: Dorothy wife of Jack Manwiller of Laureldale, and Mary DeSimone of Huntington Station, Long Island, New York; four grandsons: RonJon Annaballi of Alexandria, VA, Jeffrey husband of Katie Annaballi OF Downingtown, PA, Zachary husband of Kristie Rickert of Lynnwood, Washington, and Andrew Rickert of Westminister, Colorado ; a great-grandson: Nathan Annaballi of Harrah, Oklahoma.

Gadzouris" />George D. “Little Greek” Gadzouris, 81, of Reading, passed away May 10, 2013 at 9:30 PM in Mifflin Center where he resided since April 9th.  He was born July 29, 1931 in Reading a son to the late Demetrios and Mary (Mamakos) Gadzouris.
     George was a 1948 graduate of Reading High School.  He was employed for a number of years at Berkshire Corp. and later worked as a computer programmer at GPU for 18 years retiring in 1990.
    George was a wonderful and dedicated father, grandfather and great grandfather. Surviving are three daughters Tara M. Gadzouris fiancé of David C. Mohn, Sr. of Reading, Catherine M. Gadzouris  of Raleigh, NC and Robin M. Gadzouris of Reading; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and two sisters Irene (Gerovasilis) wife of William Briener of New Holland and Paris of North Carolina. He was predeceased by a sister Catherine (Gadzouris) Sigalos.

     She was a Captain in the Womens’ Army Nurse Corp. June was a registered nurse supervisor at various hospitals. 
     Surviving is a cousin Jean Witwer of Lititz.
